The Bellbird Preschool team would like to welcome your family to our community preschool .

Bellbird Preschool was established in 1987 to educate children from the areas of Bellbird & Bellbird Heights Paxton, Ellalong, Millfield, Wollombi & Congewai. We are a licensed Community Based Preschool in a rural & peaceful setting.

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF = belonging, being & becoming) complimented by a relaxed environment, rich in natural resources of flora & fauna for children to explore in a play based setting.

We are a Not for Profit organisation, this means every dollar that comes in, is spent on the children and educational program.

The children have the opportunity to learn through play.

Educators observe children & guide their interactions collaboratively to gain educational value from the experiences provided. We view the environment as the third teacher.

Educators also observe your children in play and in relation to others, from this we plan for their learning. Your educators plan thoughtful experiences using intentional teaching & spontaneous child led learning opportunities that occur throughout the day. School readiness is present in all areas of our educational program and everyday routines are intentionally planned to support the children's learning and preparation for school.

Our flexible program allows extensive opportunities for children to facilitate and construct their own learning in both the indoor and outdoor environments. We provide a unique balance between school readiness and allowing children to just 'be children'.

The committed staff of Bellbird Preschool work in collaboration with external support services to provide the best possible learning opportunities for the children in our care. We have a speech pathologist that provides support to children in need during preschool hours, fully funded by the preschool to ensure it is accessible to all families.

Educator’s hours: 8.00am to 4:00pm

Children’s hours 8:15am to 4:00pm

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday during NSW school terms only

NUMBER OF PLACINGS AVAILABLE

We have a maximum of 29 children each day- aged 3-5 years.

PLEASE NOTE: OUR PRESCHOOL REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS ENROLMENT.

WE OFFER 2 OR 3 DAY ENROLMENTS, IF YOU REQUIRE MORE THAN 3 DAYS YOU WILL NEED TO PUT THIS REQUEST IN WRITING AND ANY DECISION WILL BE MADE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DIRECTOR.
